Subspecialty Organ, Tissue, and Forensic Anthropology Consultations

In addition to full autopsy services, specialized consultative examinations of organs, tissues, and skeletal remains are available to support sheriff-coroner agencies and forensic pathology offices.

NAAG Forensic receives submitted organs and tissues—including but not limited to brain, heart, bone, and other specimens—for explicitly consultative purposes. These examinations are performed to supplement or support existing forensic pathology services and may include:

• Detailed gross examination
• Histologic evaluation when indicated
• Routine, CT scan and ultra-high resolution radiologic imaging
• Correlation with autopsy, imaging, and investigative findings
• Written consultation reports suitable for medicolegal use
• Professional photography that is ready for criminal justice applications

These services are consultative in nature and are intended to enhance diagnostic clarity in complex or specialized cases.

Forensic anthropology services are integrated into forensic pathology workflows and are also available as standalone consultations by statutory agency referral only. Services include both routine and complex examinations, with particular expertise in:

• Pediatric skeletal examinations
• Infant and child bone pathology
• Skeletonized and decomposed remains
• Trauma assessment and differential diagnosis
• Integration of anthropologic findings into medicolegal conclusions

All anthropology services are provided by board-certified or equivalently credentialed experts and are coordinated with forensic pathology oversight.
